Coaches vs. Cancer Classic

Cal-Irvine @ Illinois
Navy @ Texas
Rhode Island @ Pitt
Seattle @ Maryland

Only game with even a remote chance of an upset is Rhodey over Pitt (6 p.m./ESPNU), but I can't have my national champions losing their first game. Also a chance to see Cory Joseph (8 p.m./ESPNU vs. Navy) in the flesh for the first time.

Still no lines at this point, but without seeing the spreads I'd probably take a flyer on Rhodey + the points.

I've been way out of the loop, but does that Seattle vs. Maryland game do anything for you SS? It seems Cameron Dollar's been doing some nice things up there, perhaps not ready to spring the big upset but I'm intrigued by Elgin Baylor's alma mater.

Seattle U

I know Seattle's best player (Garcia?) declared early for the NBA draft, but I think he went undrafted. I'd guess they'll slip some this season, but it will be interesting to see what conference Seattle ends up in. The WCC seems like the logical landing spot, but I think the WCC is brushing them aside to this point. I know Mark Few publicly stated he doesn't want to add any teams that are likely to drag down the WCC's RPI. Few was all for BYU joining, Seattle apparently not so much.
