Received an email from GopherSports on the open practice set for Tuesday (4/15) at the indoor facility.

For anyone who goes in person would appreciate any nuggets on Zach Pyron in the QB competition. All the intel released so far points to Lindsey being No. 1 and it's his position to lose. The thinking last fall was that Pyron might give him some pressure up the QB positional tree but so far doesn't appear to be the case (on very limited data).

Pyron portalled from Georgia Tech mostly with good wishes for success here. Would like to pass anything positive to the GT board from GH observers plus of course anything that shows up in the local press. Thanks in advance.

I’m also interested in this piece. However, I do think that the best thing for this program is him never taking a snap here (outside of designed packages). I do wish him success though and hope he can be a serviceable QB if the event arrives.

From Randy Johnson's article after he watched practice last week:

"Dylan Wittke, a redshirt sophomore transfer from Virginia Tech, took most of the second-team snaps Tuesday, followed by redshirt sophomore Max Shikenjanski.

Zach Pyron, the redshirt junior transfer from Georgia Tech, and true freshman Jackson Kollock saw fewer reps Tuesday, but Fleck said he’s been spreading around the practice time."

Thanks TJ. Saw that and shared with GT. Appreciated.

I’ve heard things aren’t clicking yet for Pyron, but he has a few months to figure things out, so we’ll see (assuming he doesn’t transfer).
