Probably won't happen, but I wish the B1G would go to travel partners like the Pac 12 does. Screw the Super Tuesday TV games on the ESPN mother ship. Don't revolve everything around ESPN/ABC. Let Monday & Tuesday be the B1G/BTN's weekday nights to focus their attention on women's basketball.
The men could go with various combos of the Pac 12's Wednesday/Thursday with Saturday/Sunday travel-partner dates. Ideally, I'm thinking Wednesday/Saturday being the norm, but with one featured game every Thursday & Sunday on the BTN. Just like now, in a 2-year scheduling cycle there would be 7 opponents you play twice & 4 teams only once, the difference being the 4 single-plays would be 2 sets of travel partners.
Just like the Pac 12, travel partners would be real simple for the B1G. ...
Illinois-Northwestern
Indiana-Purdue
Iowa-Nebraska
Michigan-Michigan State
Minnesota-Wisconsin
Ohio State-Penn State
I like the idea of a conference schedule with real structure.
