Golden Gopher fans,
Thanks for letting this Hawkeye fan "lurk" or "troll" or whatever you want to call it on your site for yet another year. I enjoy your site and the characters, although sometimes I do miss Loon and Wren; from an outsiders perspective, you have to admit that they were entertaining. Reading your posts really does help me converse somewhat intelligently (I did grow up in Iowa after all :)) with my Gopher fan buddies.
I'll for sure check in after the game, no matter the outcome, and I do look forward to checking in on your basketball site every so often. I like SelectionSunday's daily NCAA bid updates and the poster formerly known as MN Snowman's Pick per Day posts. I have a feeling that the Hawkeye hoops site will most likely be in meltdown mode for the entire season. :(
Safe travels for those heading to Iowa City, I hope you find Iowa City and the fans mostly hospitable, and someone needs to let me know if the gyros on the Ped Mall at 2:30 in the morning are still like food from the gods (that's the way I remember them anyway)...

Anyone know of a way to get back to Cordialville from the Ped Mall? Are there cabs in IC or do you have to order a pizza to some room at the Sheraton and take the poor guys delivery vehicle when he goes in?
 


I'll feel really sorry for you if you lose. I mean you've got nothing else going. I really would feel badly about taking this from you. Well after I'm done celebrating, in about ten months.

to flame. You don't have to rip the guy - treat others as you wish to be
treated yourselves!

To the poster who asked about getting back to Coaralville from the Ped Mall-there are many, many cabs around and you'll surely be able to find one. To clarify, it IS NOT in walking distance! So no matter how drunk you are, don't try it!! I hope to see a few Gopher fans out tonight on the town. I'm from Minnesota so it'll be nice to converse. Good luck and safe travels. I hope you all enjoy the beauty Kinnick brings on a fall day!!

Personal experience tells me this is not true, though I would not suggest anyone try it, especially if it is raining.
