Over the past 3 years, the Gophers are 5-19 in B1G conference games in February and March. That's a .208 winning percentage. Congrats to Tubby and the players for regressing annually at an alarming rate when other teams tend to peak/improve.

If we could only petition to have the tourney to be held in early January!!! We'd be a dynasty.

It's funny how the micro level has many similarities to the macro level of this program under Tubby. Basketball is a game of runs. It's amazing how once an opponent goes on a run, we completely fold. Now take that same concept to consecutive losses (macro). Once this team goes into a rut mentally, it's almost impossible to pull out of it. One game (i.e. vs Wisconsin) isn't a trend. It's a fluke. The habit is mental fragility during a particular game manifesting itself in the form of offensive and defensive breakdowns, unforced turnovers, and the inability to recover from an opponent run to go along with the hideous win/loss record once a bit of adversity strikes.

This team is in such a rut that the habit can only stopped with the immediate dismissal of Tubby following the season. The culture has to change.

We totally folded against Indiana.

That was coming off of 11 straight wins. This mentally fragile team had confidence then.

Look what happened after that loss. Snowball effect with the team and the snowball effect has been present the past 3 years.

Considering they haven't played a game in March yet how can you count that in the last three years?

Over the past five weeks, they've won 3 games, all at home, and were very fortunate to win two of those games. There's no in-season transfer, broken ankle or torn ACL to go to as an easy excuse.

They had a graphic last night on Big Ten Finale that in the last 3 seasons Minnesota is 4-17 in February, worst in the Big Ten.

It's been all downhill since Devoe and his pipe left.

We should have all taken the first clue on this team after the Michigan home game. I went to that game saying to my friends at the game "I have been waiting years for a game like this." Meanwhile the players, while they were in the game score-wise, never gave me the sense that they were putting it all on the line and that they would do anything to win. There just wasn't the intensity you need to beat a team like that. That's the missing element for this team moreso than ability to do this or that- it's the spirit and will to win by both coaches and players. I think the guy that really has it is Andre but he doesn't get much in terms of spirit from his cohorts.

Exactly. That was a very poor performance. I was more than disappointed. And it was after that game Rodney's tweet occurred. Disaster ever since.
