This has been a bit of a roller coaster of a season, but one thing I've noticed this year that aside from say Neb and MD... the games have been really entertaining. I feel like they've been more entertaining than the past and we're seeing a lot more big plays and such.

IU might have been disappointing with the comeback but getting there there were a ton of good plays, and after the comeback the defense (for all their struggles) stepped up with big plays and the offense too.

Maybe it is just the change of offensive pace but there seems to be more grit (not giving up where other gopher teams sort of fell apart), more play makers and that has made the games a lot more interesting / fun.

Thinking the same thing Slab. I know this might be far fetched, but it feels like we might have one of the better Offensive Coordinators in the Big Ten. What the offense is doing with a very young team is pretty exciting. Finally in the game vs Indiana they were able to score 7 on many drives after having a few games where they drove the ball and ended up either not scoring or settling for a FG.

The Wacker years were a lot of fun too, until you got to the end of the season and realized you only had 2 wins.

I like to see good defense and an explosive running game and the team has lagged at both outside of a few runs by Shannon and Mo. I love Seth Green on his version of the wild cat.

We’ve had a few downfield passes connect this year, two on flea flickers and then the bomb to Bateman which was great. It does feel like things are trending up on offense.

I have enjoyed the offense a lot. Big play potential, they seem to know what a screen is, young Oline is getting better, a couple QBs who have proven they can throw the ball accurately!!!!!! and a pair of young RBs that I like. Big things ahead of this team and the offense should be better next year.

Most of the starters are back and there is a lot of talent on the bench with Dunlap Jr, Spann-Ford, Jason Dickson, Rodney Smith (for a full season), Shannon Brooks (for a full season) and I'm sure a bunch of guys I'm missing.

Starters need to improve and should be better next year just by being a year older and more mature physically and mentally!

As long as they can assemble a good offensive line this offense has the potential to be scary good next season. Solid QB play combined with Smith and/or Brooks in the backfield (Ibrahim has looked good also) with Johnson, Bateman, Autman-Bell, and Douglas spreading out the secondary.....man that could be a ton of fun to watch.

Those games were fun if you wore a blind fold when the defense was on the field.

The universal response to that in my section was "WOW" and related surprise. I felt the same way. We're not used to seeing those kinds of passes I guess ;)

The tv angle made me say "No!!" when he threw it. Kind of like a guy taking what seems like an ill-advised three and hitting it. "Noo........Yes!!"
