“Diversity may be a hot button topic in many corners these days, but for the University of Wisconsin volleyball team, diversity is an essential part of its culture.
For everyone involved in the program, from coaches to players to support staff, the broad definition of diversity is a source of strength that is embraced and celebrated.
“It’s everything,” coach Kelly Sheffield said. “To me, it’s what college should be about. It’s opening your mind to different ways of thinking, not just confirmation of what the individual thinks.”
