per the Omaha World Herald:

Player to watch
Wide receiver Tyler Johnson

Though Minnesota doesn’t throw all that often, Johnson is the main target for the Gophers. He has 32 receptions for 620 yards. He averages an astounding 19.4 yards per catch and has seven touchdowns.

They said it
Fleck called Nebraska receiver JD Spielman, a Minnesota native, “very electric,” and used Spielman as an example of a guy he wants to keep in-state moving forward.

“We have to keep everybody in the state, but I need everybody’s help to keep them in the state.”

Added Fleck: “Stanley Morgan is a kid that is an electric player. They have electric players. We have to get more electric players, not that just one guy or one position.”

“I don’t know if anger’s the right word, but we were very upset with the way we played. Of course, we know we were better than that.”
