Minnesota senior center Tommy Olson was named to the Rimington Trophy Committee’s 2014 Spring Watch List, which includes 64 of the best centers in Division I football. The athletes included on the list have demonstrated excellence at the center position in the past and are predicted to do so again in the 2014-2015 season.
Olson, who moved from guard to center prior to the 2013 season, started the final four games of last season after Jon Christenson suffered a season-ending injury. Olson excelled at the center position after being named the starter and ran with the first-team unit during Minnesota’s recent spring practices.
