I doing a search on youtube and finding some old Gophers football videos. If you have any you like to post. then please do post them.

Here one of Iowa/Minnesota back in 1985.


This game was a TBS game, but only shown on syndication.


Here another one from 1986. about last part of the game and the ending.

Minnesota/Michigan.

Not a football game, but an enjoyable Gopher recruiting video from the early '80s (pre-Metrodome):

 

here one from 1993. Minnesota upset over Wisconsin.

 

I've found lots of old game films on Youtube.....

That '93 loss to the Gophers was Wisconsin's only loss that season - they tied Ohio State, tied or won the conference title and won in the Rose Bowl. Huge Gopher win and tremendous game by RB Chris Dawkins. As I recall, we were up 21-0 at the half - Badger fans in the concourse at halftime were stunned.

I have watched the Iowa one. Pretty cool. Iowa went to the Rose Bowl. It was Lou Holtz's last game as Gopher coach.

That Iowa game, and the Michigan game before it, were rough on that young
Gopher squad, but they were somewhat spent going into those final two games.
Plus, they faced the two best teams in the Big 10 that year.

Still, they finished 6-5 and got to a bowl game....a good effort.
