Old Gopher fight song I'd never heard before

Thanks for posting this. I can see (or hear) why that song never really caught on. But it was fun to hear anyway. I might have to find a way to get it on my iPod along with all the other standard school songs that are part of my tailgating mix.

Pretty cool, thanks for posting.

I think I heard Sid's voice singing.

Guessing 1920's or early 30's era perhaps? Has a kind of Al Jolson type of feel to it and he was very popular during this time frame.

Yep, 1930's apparently. From the YouTube:

Vintage Big 10 college fight songs produced by the Penn State University Libraries and Fred Waring's America. All songs were performed by Fred Waring and the Pennsylvanians on the Fred Waring Radio shows originally aired in the 1930s and originally recorded on aluminum discs.

Okay trivia buffs. What did Fred Waring invent?

Except that these days, the one used at TCF shoots Subway t-shirts!!! :)
HA! Too true. You know, if we can't have the Cannon Man this year, at least we have a t-shirt gatling gun. It might be my favorite sideline addition this year.
