OK so how does the transition work?

Kill leaves NIU and does not coach their bowl game - from what I understand he will bring his long tenured staff here as well.. Does that mean his long tenured staff doesn't coach NIU in their bowl game either? I know this is semi big time college football but the NIU players seem to be getting shafted here in their bowl game experience
