Not to get ahead of ourselves, guys, but did anyone see the stats for OSU against Wisconsin? They had 184 net yds, 8 first downs, and ran 40 plays to Wisconsin's 89!!!

I'm really interested to see how Pryor does against Purdue. I know OSU has a blue chip offense, but Pryor has yet to impress. Weber was doing so much more with so much less at this point in his career.

If we can execute in hostile territory this weekend, and the OSU offense contiunes to struggle against Purdue, I honestly believe we could pull an upset two weeks in a row (I'm already convinced we win this weekend).

All that remains to be seen is if the next two defenses play soft against a "weak" team that they don't expect much out of in our Gophers. We need our guys to play with massive chips on their shoulders.

GO GOPHERS!!! BEAT PENN ST!!!

Great post, 1 week to early. Love the confidence, but as we all know, one game at a time. Nobody knows what will happen Saturday. And, I have a feeling from talking with players the past couple of days that they have a huge chip on their shoulders because they are getting no, even negative, respect even at 4-2 against 6 quality opponents.

re tOSU...this year it's all about their defense...but I prefer to focus intensely on PSU this week and tOSU next!

OSU's offense is not good. Pryor is not using his arm well. But you still have to score to beat them. I like this match up much better than the PSU one.

I think the 'one game at a time' mantra applies to the players and coaches not the fans. Are you really concerned that if you are thinking ahead to Ohio State that we might lose to Penn State?

I will admit I am looking ahead a bit to Ohio State. But that doesn't mean I don't respect Penn State. I am going to Columbus for my first Gopher game on the road.

And yet they still beat a team we couldn't beat at home by 18 points. This is encouraging?

I watched most of the Wisconsin-Ohio St. game. Ohio St. offense didn't look very good, but the stats are a little skewed because Ohio St. scored two defensive TDs and had a kick off return for a TD. If I remember correctly, they averaged more yards per play and wisky. Not saying their offense didn't struggle because they did, but I don't think they were as bad as the stats show.

To win one of our remaining road games, I think the defense needs to be huge, probably meaning at least one TD.

I really don't see a loss on the Gophers schedule the rest of the way. I said the exact same thing back on September 4th, and I'm sticking to my prediction.

Do you watch college football? Nothing is the same on a week to week basis. As I've said on other threads, our offense is schizophrenic and Jeff Willis and Co. are the John Nash's leading the way. There is nothing out there that makes me believe that we cannot win and win significantly against OSU's anemic offense. Execution, execution, execution.

Wisconsin = OSU
Minnesota = Wis.

Shot themselves in the foot too many times.
