Here are some notes and quotes from the post-game press conference. These quotes are not verbatim.

Tracy Claeys:
Off the replay [of the targeting call], it looked like the helmet hit him more in the chest then slid up.

We made a big error on offense with the interception for a touchdown. Really the third-and-20 on the draw, you stop that, they gotta punt it and we’re going to the half 7-0. When you play the No. 1 team in the country and you’re on the road, the margin for error is so small.

They’re a good football team. We battled with them, foot-to-foot. Had a chance to have our opportunities so, move on.

That’s as good a front seven as there is in college football. We just had to find a way to dink and dunk…We just need to find a way to finish a few more drives.

Coming off last week and the loss to Michigan, we’ve got a competitive group. I love those kids. They’ve been through a lot...I love the way the kids competed.

Mitch Leidner:
It was good to see us battle back in the second half especially when things weren’t going our way. Give our defense credit for giving us opportunities.

The team does a good job of being able to understand that we can’t control penalties. We have to just play our game.

After last week, to be able to come back this week and come to a place like this and compete at a high level…it just shows the character of this football team.

Briean Boddy-Calhoun:

Overall we played extremely hard…We did a great job handling adversity…We played with a lot of energy.

Kiante [Harden] played tremendous. You didn’t notice he was out there. It’s not like he got exposed.

It’s always tough [playing mobile quarterbacks]. We’ve been known to struggle with scrambling quarterbacks…[Jones] just did a good job of making a play.

Just being in the locker room, guys are still confident to go out there and take on Iowa.

Urban Meyer:
“I don't think we played a clean game. I do not want to take anything away from our opponent, because that's two weeks in a row that they just swung as hard as they possibly could, with very good players.”

Good to hear the players are already looking forward to the Iowa game. They'll need to play really well but I think they can win.
