As much as I would hate to see him go to the Packers it would be a great opportunity for him since they have very little after Adams. He could easily jump in and be the #2 right off the bat.

And not a bad way to start your career with a HOF QB throwing passes to you.

And yet he'd still be on the bench when the game is on the line and they kick field goals for no reason...

As was discussed, they had a reason it was just a dumb one. Point still stands though that GB would provide a great opportunity for instant success as a rookie :)

Why would the Packers be interested in him? They already have a couple of slow receivers who drop critical passes. His skill set is pretty much the same as all the other 3rd. round ( at best) receivers.
 





DAMN, how much fun is this? Arguing over which teams our Gophers will get drafted by. We had such a long dry spell of no draft picks, that this is so refreshing. There's nothing better than hearing "The University of Minnesota" on TV after one of them makes a play. Kill and Claeys got it started and Fleck is continuing on. Keep em coming PJ!

I would fully root for Bateman if he became a Packer. And I would begrudgingly be okay if the Packers did well....because in the end.....I am a bigger Gophers fan than Vikings fans. And I don't hate the Packers the way I hate the Badgers.

I will say this....if it's Packers or fall out of the first round....go catch passes from A Rog.

Said in another thread the ONLY thing that would have been good about the Packers winning last weekend would have been Kamal getting a shot at the Super Bowl. But thankfully in the end it was the team with 2 Gophers that won out.

The problem is... I can't cheer for them once they are in the NFL.

Hey if you do enough mock drafts with enough different scenarios you are bound to get at least a few of them right. But yeah, the mock drafts have about as much value as bowl projections made in September. They are just guessing with no real idea how it is all going to shake out beyond the top handful of picks.

Doesn't stop fans from eating it up though in the same way they do with meaningless bowl projections made early in the season.
 


Mock drafts mean virtually nothing after the first 5 picks.
 

Please , my beloved Packers are loaded with “Bateman” style of receivers. Now if McCaffery becomes available then I can see the Packers drafting a receiver.
 

Can we get an "all things mock draft thread?" so we don't get a new "Bateman to the _______!" thread weekly?
