I'm not at all a "officials cost us the game" guy, but there were several calls today that really had me scratching my head.

The non PI on Tyler Johnson.
The phantom PI call on Shenault on the deep ball.
The Obvious hold on Huff blitzing on the 3rd and 10 on the game tying drive.
The 4th down spot on Myrick's tackle on the TE.
The illegal procedure penalty where all appeared set and Wozniak was jogging in place.

those were obvious, others that could have easily not been called:

The hold on Wright in the red-zone.
The hit on the tub kicker. If he's running down the field trying to lay somebody out, I don't see why he isn't fair game. Waters has no idea it sailed into the end zone. I've seen plenty of similar extra-curricular stuff happen on kickoffs that go un-called.

Agree for the most part on all. In the in-game thread, MaxyJR pointed out that the illegal shift penalty was because when 2 people are in motion both have to be set so woz couldn't be running in place.

The leaping penalty was apparently called correctly, but I don't like the rule. I guess that's why punt teams keep 3 guys right in front of the punter - you can't jump then.

When Wozniak went into motion, another receiver was moving as well. For this to not be a penalty, Wozniak has to get set for a second, then go into motion again. It was the right call.

I don't know how they missed the holding on Huff. It was right out in the open for everyone to see.

It's a shame but nobody calls holding on the last series. Something about under two minutes changed the rule of holding.

definitely not their best game. we blew the game, but overcoming the zebras made things tighter than they ever should've been and we found a way to choke it away

The missed hold on Huff was huge.

The missed PI on Johnson was bad, but how it happened the two officials likely had a bad angle on that grab and Johnson didn't fight through it

Similar leaping call in Iowa game went uncalled today, so that's frustrating.

I said in game post but I don't understand why in 2016 we don't have first down judges on the field. Such an in exact science on spotting the ball.

Numerous times the Gophers lined up in potential illegal formations and got away with it.

Gophers had illegal shift on Penn State targeting call and got away with it.

Wright held all day.

By the way is Michigan State going to fire coach if they lose this game?

Agree on Wright- also seems to stop working after initial push. He's always standing and watching at the end of plays

The refs were pretty awful today but can't blame them for the loss. If you need to blame anyone, it's the person calling the Defensive plays in the last minute of regulation.
