This move towards playing legitimate D1 opponents in exhibition games instead of non-conference games is weird. I guess it's better than playing Augsburg or UMD, but now we've traded the likes of NDSU for Alcorn State and Gardner-Webb as our two tune up games before Missouri.

With that out of my system, I'm just so happy to have new blood on the sidelines. I feel much more confident in the future of our program today than I did a year ago today.

As far as tonight goes, I want ball movement, I want to see 2-3 legit scorers emerge and separate themselves, I want to see 2-3 alpha's out there and I want to see us crash the boards.

I won't freak out about the score one way or another.

I believe I'll be attending, but I might be the only one in our season ticket group. My buddy and seat mate is favoring our bi-weekly card club, and my wife is refusing to take his place, even though the weather will be really mild. Although there's plenty of hope with the new regime, the program begins this new era in the dumps. Things were already in a hole when Johnson was hired, and he dug us so much deeper; it's going to take a lot to get the Spruce Goose back off the ground.

Fair points, but in today's day and age of NIL and transfers, it can turn around quickly.

No idea how this first season will go but at least for the first time in years we have a coach on the sidelines who has been successful and seems to have a plan. The last 4 years have been just a struggle to watch the product.
 




Been waiting months and months! Just play solidly and stay healthy please. The rotations will become evident early on this season.

First time season ticket holders.
It’s a new era, and Hope has been restored.
Hoping to see better scheme and execution on both ends of the floor. I can accept being out-gunned in Big Ten play, but am hoping to see some upsets.
 

I for one am pumped we are playing a team we could potentially lose to if we don’t bring our ‘A’ game. We will learn a lot about this team during the two exhibition games.
 


Kind of sad that the exhibition games are more intriguing than 9 of the 11 non-conference games...but oh well.
