It will be fun to be back in The Barn today. Looking forward to seeing the freshmen. Good to get a game against a different team for the squad I imagine.

GET 'ER DONE PITINO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sprung for BTN Plus to get an early look our our Freshmen.

Slow start for the starters. Tied 7-7 4 1/2 minutes in.

Gophers already at 7 fouls with 11:54 to go in the first. Mason has definitely looked good so far. Buggs hit a 3-pointer. Dorsey got to the line and missed both. Gophers down 10-9.

We are going to need Konate healthy and playing alot of minutes this year. Gas has not looked good so far.

Freshman

Mcbrayer has a future. Good looking athlete

Need to turn it around in the 2nd half. I am not watching the game but if we get out rebounded by MN-Crookston...

First time seeing the team in action. Saw #1 McBrayer driving the lane, instant reaction was I thought that it was Hollins.

Turnovers, missed shots, what's the main problem?

We got into foul trouble early, Mason and Dorsey both sat the last 5-6 minutes with two fouls. Turnovers weren't a huge problem, but we had a few stupid ones. 0-7 from the line is obviously not good. Rebounding was not great, especially against a small team.

0-7 from FT line.

I like Murphy and McBrayer. McBrayer getting a lot of time at PG.

We really need Konate. Gaston still raw, though he has 4 points and 3 boards.

Yeah, both those guys have shown some nice flashes. Dorsey didn't play enough to get a good look at him, but he is definitely really fast.

Playing without King and Morris to experiment with younger players?

Truism warning: B1G loaded with low post power this year. Gophers in deep trouble in conference if Konate can't play effectively, whether due to inexperience, injury or otherwise.

All four of the frosh were on the floor at the same time in the first half at one point.

Murphy with the three, gives him 15 points on the night.

McBrayer looks like he could be a smart player. I hope he has a great career here.

Anyone know if you can watch a replay somewhere?

GII....if you go to BTN plus on the "game hub" page there is a calendar at the top where you can scroll to todays date and you'll see the Gophers listed. You should be able to see the "play" button. Try hitting that button and see. It could be that since i"m still rewatching the game, that is why the "play" button is still visible.

Probably a long year when we get into league play but some hope for the future. King and Morris are the same although Joey actually went and got several rebounds. Mason will be tough. Buggs has put on some muscle and looks better but Pitino yelled at him once to get back and pressure like everyone else as he headed up the floor. Also, with his size it would be nice if he had a desire to get inside and do stuff from there--not 20 feet away. Enjoyed watching Gaston. Still raw but improving and by next year might really be a factor. Took a guy off the dribble and threw down a hell of a dunk. Few minutes later--air ball that was about a foot over the basket from about 5 feet. Definitely doesn't look as lost.

Of the freshmen, Murphy was the most impressive. Battled inside and got some pts. there and rebounded. McBrayer also looked fine with a good all around skill set. Dorsey is quick but had some foul trouble. Don't think Gilbert will be much of a factor.

We turned them over a lot but didn't get as much out of it. The press should be noticeably better. We're going to get dominated inside in some games. It won't be pretty if we're not hitting from the outside.

Will there be a replay on btn?

Doubt it. Remember that it's still football season and replays on BTN are devoted to those. You can pay the $10 bucks for a month of the Gophers on BTN plus ($15 for the whole conference) and likely watch a replay. As far as the Gophers, it's only going to get you the two scrimmages and the first game against UMKC for November. Other games from here on are available elsewhere (either on one of the cable sports networks or ESPN3). I paid the $15 because I thought I might check out a couple of other conference teams' scrimmages. But, that's these new sports networks gouging their fans; you can have greater access but it'll cost you.
