I appreciate the Gophers and Fleck "just want to go 1-0 in Rutgers Championship Season" rhetoric and I appreciate Athan saying the same. But we all know that's B.S. THIS GAME IS PERSONAL!!!! Both teams want this game badly. Coaches have swapped, players have swapped, secrets have been spilled. This is personal!!!!!

I'll take our squad, we got the momentum that Fleck doesn't believe in, but that's OK, we got it. We got Max slinging, Koi poaching floating ducks, DT doing work and Dragan booting bombs. We have coordinators making in-season an in-game adjustments, we got Fleck high-fiving and chest bumping and we have a 4 game winning streak!!

The ball is the program, especially on the road. This is a statement game and no squad I want more than ours.

Let's do this.

Lace em up and bring it boys! This game could go either way depending on which team is riding an emotional high and momentum. Heart says Gophers by two TD’s but head says it could be a slug fest
 

Said in another thread (and still feel this way), if we play well we win comfortably. I don't think Rutgers can beat us right now if we don't help them with turnovers, penalties, or major mistakes on defense.

Here's hoping we come out fast tomorrow and don't give Rutgers a chance to think they can make a game of it. We deserve a low stress Saturday dang it..... :)
 



Probably due for some type of drop-off or letdown but I don't see it with this team at this time.

Coach told us to just believe in this group after I-O-W-A...and this request was like the pre-cogs in Minority Report seeing each game's end for the last 4 contests and even Michigan's oh so close outcome.

Expect them to show up and play Rutgers well from the start. Get to 5 straight and a week off to prepare for the Nittanies here in a few weeks. This is fun. Ski U Mah!

Starting the day in sole possession of 5th place in the B10. All the other teams in front of us are ranked in the Top 10

No one had us there at this juncture of the season.

Monangai is their offense much like Ibrahim was our offense. Not having to worry about him should make it even easier for our defense to lock in on making Athan's life difficult passing the ball.

Felt good about this one even before the news on Monangai....just have to keep playing the way we have been over the past month and we should walk out of there with a W today.
 


With their stud running back out, it’s 50-50 on whether AK finishes the game. Could be injury, could be waving the white flag, could be performance, but I bet we see their back up QB in the fourth quarter.
