We enter a 6 game stretch that I think will be pivotal to the future of Ben Johnson. Two of those games, tonight vs Central Michigan and against Bethune Cookman on Sunday are absolute must wins. But 4 games in 6 days, of which two are in Florida against solid teams, makes tonight's game vs Central Michigan an absolute have to have.

Next 6 games: two ideally should be gimmies and 4 games we'll likely be the underdog in Florida and early BT games. Ideal would be 4-2, or 3-3. Worse case scenario is 2-4 which likely means our chances of making the Tournament would be in big trouble, but if we go 1-5 in this stretch I see a scenario where Johnson may not be here for Christmas. Selection Sunday laid this out in another thread as well.

But, I am confident we win tonight and go 3-3 in this next 6 games.

It starts with tonight. We saw a bit of slight improvement against Cleveland State, let's build from there.

GET 'ER DONE JOHNSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Central Michigan isn’t good but they do play quality defense for a cupcake.

Would be nice to see the offense play welll and get some momentum. Because they are not total scrubs on that end

No, they don't play quality defense. On the plus side, they are fairly good at keeping opponents off the offensive glass. But, they jack up a lot of 3s and turn the ball over waaaay too much - like bottom 5 in all of college basketball - and they foul a lot. They are not undersized like the last opponent, however. They have the same color scheme as MN, so avoid throwing it to the wrong team, and this should be a 13+ point victory.

For a cupcake? Yes they do.

They are 140 in Kenpom on d. Which is much better than their 200+ overall rank.

140 defensively is solid for that level of buy game opponent. Only north Texas has a considerably better D that we’ve faced this year. Cleveland state is on par

They are way better than ODU, Omaha and Yale.
