The huskers are pretty brutal against the pass. If you are Limegrover, how do you approach the game? Take advantage of a weak secondary by airing it out (as much as Leidner can) or sticking primarily with the ground game?

I still think Minnesota is more physical than the Huskers. Wear them down and avoid turnovers. I'd go with that until proven otherwise.

I think we will have some success pounding the rock; but we will have to pass more than the second half of yesterday's game. Mitch needs to make them pay on deep play action. He's got to hit his open WR'S on the long pass. Nelson-AJ Barker style.

Seriously doubt we can run against them all day - need a mix. Stave took them apart.

In the Kill era, I have always thought the difference between us looking good on offense and us looking bad on offense was purely execution.

I know people like to blame Limegrover when things aren't working (I'm not saying they're right or wrong), but when things are going well, it has always been the same plays that people bash that are working. I don't trust our passing game, I doubt our coaches trust our passing game, we need to run the football to win.

I hope we employ a similar game plan against Nebraska.

While I am sure they will try to figure out some ways to exploit Nebraska's secondary the main focus of the offense will be the same thing it is every week, run the ball until they stop us.

The real question will be if Nebraska shows they can stop us on the ground will our offense be able to come up with enough through the air to hurt them?

Easy. Lots and lots of flea-flickers.

As much as people have been critical of Limegrover, he's been pretty good against Nebraska the past two years.

It's been because we have been more physical. Just about anything "creative" that Limegrover calls comes off our basic running plays that people bitch about. He's got the plays. He's just very cautious about using them; IMO because that's what Kill wants.
