Just a moment in life here. So I was heading up US 59 toward Lake Bronson State Park with my wife since we knew we wouldn't make the Border crossing into Manitoba before the Port closed last Saturday night. On the shoulder we see a young lady pulled over and some front end damage. We stopped t ask her could we help. She stated that help was on the way. We asked would she like us to stay with her till then. She said yes, and then asked if I'd talk to her grandmother. I said yes sure I would. This is where the story gets interesting.

Grandmother answers my hello with a hello in a concerned tone. "Could you stay with my granddaughter? You see when she is stressed she can have seizures." Of course we(wife and I) said yes. We invite the young lady into our vehicle to wait with us. She says yes and sits with us. Keeping in mind what her grandmother told us me/ us, I try to keep the conversation lite and ask some general questions. After answering few questions about what happened, she hit a deer btw, she shared with us that she'd like to go to the U. Yes not that place in Miami, Fl, but "our" University of Minnesota.

Why?, I asked. Well you see, I went to the U of M as part of a camp/program for youth with Epilepsy put on by coach Kill. As she was sharing her experiences, she lit up like a Christmas tree. She shared with us how much she appreciated coach Kill, and that she really liked the U of M. She had quickly grown to love the Twin Cities campus as well.

Anyway that is a quick, and poorly written, story about coach Kill, and what he has meant to everyday people in Minnesota.

Thumbs up, uh I mean hats off to coach Kill!

Dig it. Thanks.

Wow. Cool story STP.

One of the great things about Coach Kill is how he has impacted the lives of so many people, especially his players. He always said he was a teacher first and a coach second. It really bothered me how some people here would say that winning is the only thing that counts. Very sad.

Ben Stiller had a flat tire in Cottage Grove, Minnesota. Not one but three drivers pulled over to help change the tire of his car to send it on its way. Nobody knew who was in the car before their stop. Stiller posts his gratitude to the citizens of Cottage Grove online. Not sure if he will attend the U as a result or praise East View graduates.

Eastview is in Apple Valley. However, graduates are worthy of praise...
