A man testified in court in 2014 that Penn State football coach Joe Paterno ignored his complaints of a sexual assault committed by assistant coach Jerry Sandusky in 1976 when the man was a 14-year-old boy, according to new court documents unsealed Tuesday in a Philadelphia court.

The victim, who was identified in court records as John Doe 150, said that while he was attending a football camp at Penn State, Sandusky touched him as he showered. Sandusky’s finger penetrated the boy’s rectum, Doe testified in court in 2014, and the victim asked to speak with Paterno about it. Doe testified that he specifically told Paterno that Sandusky had sexually assaulted him, and Paterno ignored it.

Joe's own statement about the assistant who told him makes Joe seem like he knew more.

Joe claimed the assistant came to him. Joe took the assistant to his boss and told them what they knew. Joe says he walked away and never asked anything again or spoke to anyone about it.

The only reason you wouldn't follow up or ask again is if you know you've done the legal minimum to CYA and want to avoid stirring anything up. Otherwise anyone else after hearing about someone raping a child on campus would follow up and say "WTF, I haven't heard anything, did the cops do anything? Did we ban that guy from campus or something!?!?!" But nope....

With the new AD of Syracuse having an ESPN background, maybe they'll figure out a way for a gigantic network.

There is a lot of stuff in that article, and the more you read, the less you really think there was any room for claiming ignorance.

They should put that statue up just to tear it down a second time. I don't know how you pretend that this was anything other that being an accomplice. It's kids for effs sake.

Perhaps they should put that statute in the football locker room shower under one of the shower heads with a banner in the background saying “we’ll never forget” along with a live video feed for all to see. They should turn on the water and allow the water to run 24/7 on it until the statue disintegrates into nothing.
