Barring a change of heart from the conference (CAA policy excludes exiting teams from playing in the conference tourney) and/or the NCAA (APR penalties), the CAA will have a 7-team conference tournament in 2013 instead of its usual 12.
1. VCU moving to A-10 this summer.
2-3. Georgia State (Sun Belt) and ODU (Conference USA) leaving after 2012-13 season, ineligible for 2013 auto bid.
4-5. NC-Wilmington and Towson ineligible because of APR shortcomings.
With these departures, if Bruiser Flint doesn't get Drexel to the NCAA Tournament he should be fired. The remaining competition for the auto bid is down to Delaware, George Mason, Hofstra, James Madison, Northeastern and William & Mary.
