Is there one ranking that is used more frequently by the media?? In the BTN broadcast, they show the Gophers with a #13 ranking (coaches poll) instead of the #9 (AP). I know it's trivial, but you'd think they'd try and portray their teams as favorable as possible. Maybe I've had too many rum and cokes tonight....

I was thinking the same thing. I kind of remember BTN using the Coaches Poll in the past, but it does seem a bit strange.

ESPN uses the AP poll. I like that one better. Probably just BTN trying to be different

AP is the gold standard.

Yeah espn used to have its name on the coaches poll but bailed when it became clear that some of the votes tended to be strange.

I think all polls try to be different. But the AP poll is the one most noticed and respected. I think. Go Gophers!
