No one has commented on the timing of the incident.

This happened late at night October 31/ early morning of November 1. The 7-1 and ranked Gophers played Northwestern November 1 and lost starting a big slide.

You have to think dealing with/ gossip about the arrest distracted coaches and players against NU. It is very bad timing for a football player to get arrested.

Are we sure it took place on Halloween? The entire team stays in a hotel in a suburb the night prior to every home game. Redshirts normally dress for home games so I would think they would participate in the same pregame meetings that every other player is participating in but I'm not sure.

Police reports are for November 1 at 3 and 5 in the morning.

The major distraction of that game was watching Kafka run for how many bleeping yards without the Gopher Defense having someone shadow him all over the field. I can't still can't shake the feeling that the now- Auburn DC and Mr. Brewster couldn't get past their collective "He CAN'T keep this up all day" feelings and just wouldn't start to shadow the damn guy.

As for the rest of the regular season at least injuries: Decker, Sherels, Campbell, Theret, half the Offensive Line; plus little or any depth doomed that team.

Distractions be damned.

(I'm glad for all the "ignore posts", my use of punctuation is rather slovenly!)
