Let's talk about what we can do, with our current roster, to improve. I have a few ideas.

1) Take Hoff off the point. Much to my surprise, teams haven't pressed us. Have anybody who can dribble bring it up and let Hoff resume his usual role. If needed, he could always resume.

2) Try to get Rodney involved by going big (with him at SG) and trying to find a mismatch with him in the post. Last time I remember him being good was @MICH, where he got a few easy buckets by simply catching down low and jumping over a much smaller defender.

3) Telling Ralph that he doesn't have to instantly dribble when he gets it in the post. Odds are there is a knat nearby. Take the ball up high, take your time and look around. Then, take your one dribble and throw up your hook.

4) Turn the young guys loose. RUN! Is it just me, or do Hollins and Armelin look their best in transition? both are athletic and capable of getting to the rim. Call me crazy, but I would love to see Armelin on the fast break kick it out to a trailing Sampson? for three? That's right.

5) Pray to your God for remarkable healing for Al Nolen.

1) At first I wanted to see Mav playing point with Blake playing SG, but after seeing them together on the floor the last few games, I have changed my mind. I don't think Mav makes very good decisions often, and Blake has still been able to produce offensively while playing point.

2) I do not want to go big as it hasn't gone well since Northwestern, and I don't want Rodney on the floor too much unless he gets out of his slump.

4) Agreed. I like Hollins and Armelin and want to see them on the floor more, and both of those guys look good when they're running.

5) AGREED.
