Anyone else think fitz screwed the team over with clock management and play call down the stretch? i just felt perplexed with the sequence leading up to the fg attempt

I was at the game. NU was outplayed most of the game but was in position to win due to 3 TO and a big penalty on a punt they fumbled early. I would have run the ball once on the series before the FG attempt to get closer. NU lost its top CB which allowed Nebraska to score 2 quick TDs. They also dropped 2 ints in the 4th quarter.

how was the crowd? It looked like 60-40 (at least) Nebraska on TV.

I would say the crowd was 60-40 NU. The bowl end was solid red but the press box side and half the other side line was purple. My guess is that you never saw the press box where the band, students and most of the NU fans sit. When this game started I was sure it would be a blow-out for Nebraska. They are a huge team; their OL are aircraft carriers and their WRs are 6'3". Their front seven on defense is also very stout and NU could not get much of a run game started other than Mark's 80 yars run. Nebraska kept making bonehead mistakes and NU was able to keep them out of the endzone. The Nebraska crowd would cheer when they would field a punt after dropping 2. This was a game of blown chances in the 4th quarter for NU; 2 dropped ints, a 3 and out the inability to move the ball on 3 downs to get a closer FG.
