Florida State took a book out of the NFL/Vikings style of progressive punishment with this latest Winston situation:

Go Gophers!!

Actually refreshing to see them put sending a message ahead of football. If they really want to get through to Winston this is the way to do it. Had they let him play half the game he had the potential to come in, save the day, and be the hero.

What exactly did he do that was so bad? He yelled something profain? Oh, who cares...?

Glad that there are still plenty of pearl clutchers around to applaud actions like this.

You wanted the details, here you go. Whether an overreach or not, just an incredibly stupid and unaware move by Winston given his history. He's making Johnny Football look like the second coming of Tebow: http://deadspin.com/jameis-winston-yells-****-her-right-in-the-pussy-kil-1635466887

I know what he did, I asked what did he do that was so bad that deserved a suspension? And what exactly did Johnny Football do that was so bad other than be a typical college kid?

Umm......Johnny Manziel and Jameis Winston are not typical college kids. They were/are the two most famous people on their respective campuses.

I worded it poorly. I meant to simply say that what Johnny Manziel did (and what he's being criticized for here) are the same things normal college kids have done and continue to do. And what Jameis Winston is being punished for here is ridiculous and that people are actually up in arms about it says a lot about them.

Obviously, a lot of people are up in arms regarding Winston not solely because of this incident. The rape allegations against Winston have a lot of stink to them and for any man, regardless of age or station in life, to jump up on a table and shout that phrase in public is poor judgment; for the Heisman winning QB to do so is idiotic; and for a Heisman winning QB who just recently faced the charges of rape to shout those words, frankly it's abhorrent.

Its a pattern. Take this incident on its own and you may be right, but there is a pattern with JW. Quite simply, he is a punk. Deserves the suspension.

RUMOR MILL:

There is a big thread on /r/cfb that Jameis might not play again for FSU.

This. This right here.

If marooned is so tone deaf that he can't connect the dots and understand that whether JW likes it or not, he is the face of FSU and represents the entire university, and he's not just some "college kid", well...that really explains more about marooned than anything.

Wow, those narrow minded people in Minnesota have a lot of pull huh?
