Cal Baptist 69, UC-Irvine 61: In a battle of preseason conference favorites (per Blue Ribbon Yearbook), the WAC favorite Lancers go into the Bren Events Center and pull out the win over the Big West favorite Anteaters.
Wilmington (DE) 71, Delaware 62: The non-Division 1 Wildcats led the Conference USA newbie Blue Hens pretty much from start to finish.
Youngstown State 90, Grand Canyon 81: A solid first week for the Horizon League continues with the Penguins upset of the Lopes in Phoenix.
