But do you think we target a 5th year transfer this off season? Mitch at least needs someone w experience to push him next year, plus he'd still have eligibility so I'd doubt a transfer out. I feel like it should be at least explored. So many QBs transfer every year, I've been astonished this staff hasn't targeted one yet

Um, yeah...at this point, I'd start encouraging backups at other places to take extra credits and try to graduate early.

Why have we already written off CS5?

Why have we already written off CS5?

The fact that he can't beat out possibly the worst starting QB in FBS? But I see your point...he's only a RS Frosh. I seriously do hope and pray he's the savior. All we need is AVERAGE at this point.

Can we get a QB coach to transfer in while we are at it?

Cobb didn't play for 2-years because he couldn't block. Finally it clicked for him and BAM. I'm speculating (footnoted in my signature), but maybe CS5 does something else the coaches don't like and that is why they chose ML7? Maybe that clicks? Maybe he just matures? One thing for sure is he is an athlete. That right there is an upgrade. I see folks asking for Peera and giving CS5 his shot first seems more logical to me. I wanted to believe in ML7, but today was an eye opener for me. I want to see what CS5 can do before we write him off.

I have a legitimate question for you. Do you find it strange that our coaches leave a 1,000+ yard back on the third string because he doesn't block?

Seems like the coaches fail to recognize some talent on the team and would rather go down with the ship with other players for unknown reasons.

Fair question, but I would argue Cobb is a better running back and teammate because of it.
