Lose Rose Bowl. Lose OC and all but one of their offensive staff. Lose the LB coach.
Now their asst. AD in charge of football "resigns" with rumors of some scandal that
happened in CA during the Rose Bowl. Wheels have come off the B-ball team.
What a shame. Can't wait for the day we take back the axe.

Press release from UW Athletic Department:

John Chadima, senior associate athletic director at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, has resigned from his position in the UW Department of Athletics.

Chadima was placed on administrative leave the afternoon of Friday, Jan. 6, by Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez after an allegation of misconduct was brought forward to university officials. Chadima tendered his resignation later in the day.

UW-Madison Interim Chancellor David Ward has initiated a campus review of the matter.

As a Badger alum, BB is running this program into the ditch. You don't lose 5 coaches this year and the d-co. last year without a total lack of respect for the head. I was at the rose bowl, asking myself about clock management, and how an Iowa grad, who could not apply and get into to UW today, is allowed to do this. He must have pictures of BA with cheerleaders. The Gophers win the axe in Madison this year. Badgers lose 5 games.

This is going to be fun to watch. I hope we get our money's worth.

To be fair he played football at Iowa, so if he had tried to play football at UW he probably would have gotten it.

Gotten in ? Yes. Earned a degree? NFW. This guy is an equal mix of arrogance and ignorance= Dumpster fire.just like Obama.

yeah....sure...but at least the Milwaukee Brewers/2010 NL MVP, Ryan Braun, was 'clean' this past year.....oh wait.....

I hope you are right, but I doubt it will happen. The Gophers have way to far to go!! Thanks for the kind words

Wait a minute!! Hold on... What about the Badger fans on this board who keep claiming that BB is the second coming?

I'm still not 100% sure that Barry will allow BB to run the ship completely into the ground. Sure, it takes longer to build up a program than tear it down but it still doesn't topple overnight (usually). Wisky will be respectable this year, they still have a favorable schedule and their division of the B1G is nothing short of a dumpster fire at this moment in time.

I'm biased, no doubt about it. I've said for the last several years that Chryst and Bostad were the only ones keeping BB's head above water so I'm looking/hoping for some vindication. Russell Wilson plopping down on campus delayed things for a year but maybe that was a good thing. Perhaps the extra year Chryst stayed in Madison allowed him time to establish the ties with the coaches he's taking with him.

At any rate, it's hard to look at this as anything but NOT good news for Badger fans. Staff turnover is bad enough. It's even worse when it involves the best ones leaving, and on as wide a scale as this.

If I'm not mistaken, Popeyoung5 is out in Cali, where he is not surrounded by skunk idiocy on a daily basis.

I agree, Obama should stay in his "place." He's pretty uppity if you ask me. Who does he think he is anyway...making decisions that effect the Country? You ask me, he must think he's the President. Damn socialists!

I learned my lesson about predicting the downfall of the Badgers in '09. They were coming off of a year that looked like they were in a downward trend, there was lots of Sconnie complaining about BB and it had the smell of sharks in the water. But, the Badgers beat the Gophers in their first trip to TCF, continued to improve, and now here we are two Rose Bowls later. So, I have read between the lines before but this time I am going to wait for that Gopher victory on the field. In fact, before I write off BB and the Badgers, it will probably take MORE than one Gopher win in the series and more than one sub 8 win season for Wisconsin before I dare to count chickens again.

If I were a Badger fan, I think I would be alarmed, but alarmed is not the same thing as 3-9 with losses to NMSU and NDSU, and a 165 pound starting safety.
Let's get serious, our problems have nothing to do with Wisconsin, it is about mismanagment of the Ath Dept. I spent a couple of years po'd at Wisconsin, I still hate their fans, but I am not worried about their Ath Dept, I am worried about ours.
They still have BA to clean things up if they go off course, and a lot of talent to fix it with. We have Joel.

Well-reasoned and thoughtfull posts aren't meant for this board. Granted I agree with you, but still...

I don't see anything happening with BB unless there is a huge scandal (cheating a la Clem, paying players, assault, etc.) or they have back to back 3 or 4 win seasons or they have a 1 win season where they get blown out virtually every game. And frankly he's earned it with the results on the field.

As much as I hate to admit it, I will be stunned if they aren't in the B1G championship game next year, partially because who else would be? PSU? Purdue? IL? I don't even know who I would pick for second outside tOSU, which is ineligible for post-season play. Could easily be like UCLA in the PAC12 South where even if they do suck they win almost by default. And I don't think they'll be as bad as people are predicting, though I REALLY hope they are!

I wish GVBadger and NewBerlinBucky would shed some light on all of this, but neither has been on the site since January 1st...

He is an average coach in a great spot. I give him two more years and he'll be coaching in the MAC.

My bet is he hosted parties and might have had some young "entertainment" there. He was also in a car with Samuel's when he got a DWI some years ago...in his own truck.

He is known for hosting parties at bowl games.

This board is starting to sound like 2009, when Brewster was hired and all the experts at the Hole guaranteed UW's demise and the gopher's dominance over Wisconsin. Wasn't it Schnoodler who had a formula that completely accurately predicted a team's win total? That gopher hole was fun to read, this is getting close.

I'm unsurprised that Gopher fans would see this time of transition as the end of UW's dominance over the Gophs. You can continue claiming BA is the only reason Bielema has been a wild success at UW, but B10 championships and back to back Rose Bowls in years 5 and 6 of a coaches tenure isn't all about the athletic director. But ultimately, I get a nice chuckle out of the bully attitude and confidence of gopher fans. Not many fan bases could get beat 15 of 17 times, watch their bitter rival have incredible success, and still continue to confidently and not one bit facetiously say next year is the year.

And badgergopher, you are an embarrassment of a Badger fan. You're seriously claiming that in the 2014 college football season Bret Bielema will be coaching in the MAC? The guy just won back to back rose bowls. He has a 60-19 career record. Please become a fan of gopher football and basketball. You're definitely not a Badger fan.

Um... The Badgers lost both back to back rose bowls.... Maybe you were watching a different game the rest of the world?

Please point out who said such things.. As I see things.. People here are, at most, predicting the fall of Wisconsin, nothing more.

Don't worry Becky. Your time is coming.

Wisconsinites were so drunk on Old Milwaukee they don't know it.
