If you've been here long enough you might have noticed I have a fascination with how teams put together their nonconference schedules, especially the 73 schools from the power conferences. So using Jerry Palm's nonconference strength of schedule (SOS) rankings as of this morning, I figured now would be a good time to look at how the 73 BCS schools' nonconference SOS rank at roughly the 2-month mark of the college basketball season.
We'll list all 73 BCS schools. In addition, I'll list the top 25 nonconference schedules from teams outside the Power 6 conferences. Teams are listed in order of their nonconference SOS among all 344 Division I programs. We'll take another look about a month from now.
