I could get used to this.

They need to make sure they're actually showing us games, though, not going to the studio all the time & forcing viewers to listen to the talking heads while there's live game action going on.

Hard to believe the Madness begins in just over two weeks (March 1) with the start of three conference tournaments.

Love it as well. My only small criticism is games will be assigned to a particular channel with no flexibility to show the game on a different channel depending on a network. Some TV markets will be at a disadvantage because TruTV isn't in as many households as CBS. If the Gophs make the tourney, there's a chance their games will be on TruTV and not CBS locally. Oh well...not a big deal to me but it could hurt ratings.

Here is a quick table for the TV coverage (all times Central)

Play in (Tuesday, 15th, Wednesday 16th – Tuesday will be the play-in games for a 12 seed, Wednesday will be play-in for 16 seed)
TruTV: 5:30 PM, 8 PM

Opening round (Thursday, 17th and Friday, 18th)
CBS: 11 AM, 1:30 PM, 6 PM, 8:30 PM
TruTV: 11:30 AM, 2 PM, 6:15 PM, 8:55 PM
TBS: 12:30 PM, 3 PM, 5:45 PM, 8:15 PM
TNT: 1 PM, 3:30 PM, 6:15 PM, 8:45 PM

2nd round (Saturday, 19th and Sunday 20th)
CBS: 11 AM, 1:30 PM, 4 PM, 6:30 PM(this last timeslot on Sunday will be on TruTV so CBS can air their normal programming that night)
TNT: 5 PM, 7:30 PM
TBS: 6 PM, 8:30 PM

Sweet 16 (Thursday, 24th and Friday 25th)
CBS: 6 PM, 8:30 PM
TBS: 6:15 PM, 8:55 PM

Elite 8 (Saturday, 26th)
CBS: 3:20 PM, 5:55 PM

Elite 8 (Sunday, 27th)
CBS: 1:10 PM, 3:55 PM

Final 4 (Saturday, April 2nd)
CBS: 5 PM, 7:30 PM

Championship (Monday, April 4th)
CBS: 8 PM

Would suck to have Gophers on TruTV as that is not an HD channel, but at least I have it, I guess. Of course, I'm just hoping to be able to watch the Gophers on one of these channels come March Madness lol.

Pewter, is that the way they're doing the "First Four" games? My understanding was they were going to play one of each (#17 vs. #17, at-large vs. at-large) on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I'd prefer that (splitting up the at-large games) as opposed to having both at-large games on the same night. Seems like that would be fairer to the bottom schools as well (presumably play in front of a better crowd, not to mention more TV viewers).

Just an assumption based on who is calling the games. The 'A' team with Nantz is broadcasting only the Tuesday games. I just assumed that Nantz wouldn't sign up to call a game pitting Texas Southern and Long Island. That would be left to the 'B' team on Wednesday night. Who knows...maybe I'm wrong.

I hate this. How many episodes of Forensic Files is this stupid tournament going to make me miss?

It's a great idea for the non-stop coverage, but I am going to miss my "in-game" updates from Greg Gumbel.

I don't like to admit it - but I'm pretty sure I've seen every single episode of Forensic Files. I believe more than 400 have been produced so far. I used to have my DVR record every single episode of the show, but over time I stopped finding episodes that I hadn't seen before, so now I only record the new ones. I think the show is in its 15th season or something like that.

With Mega March Madness (DirecTV) all games were on in HD. No annoying breaks for commercials instead of going to other games in progress that CBS is so fond of doing.... It'll be a step down for me and others who preferred MMM on DirecTV. TruTV is not in HD on DirecTV.

I like the new schedule. Let's hope the Gophers don't get one of those Thursday night NIT games and create a viewing dilemma.
