iv seen all but one game this year and al nolen makes this team tick.... when hes not on the court the team struggles on both ends of the floor... for those of the fanbase who think we are a mediocre team, without al nolen we are but trust me when we get him back we will be back to being very good
1. Al nolen is the only guy besides maybe armelin, who can take his man off the dribble and get to the hoop..
2. Al nolen is our best passer along with hoff and excels at the drive and kick..
3. he might be the best on ball defender in the big ten and creates turnovers for buckets.. which is huge because the rest of our perimeter defenders are below average...
4. The team is visibly more comfortable with him on the court.. watching the WVU game and the Akron game last night there seems to be almost a lack of energy or swagger.. its strange.
anyway when we get al back you will see a significant change in this team and its gonna be fun..
my 2 cents for the day

Al

The Gophs clearly need Al on the court & healthy. We're not the same without him, and Devoe is a lot less dangerous when Al's not playing. Without Al, I don't have a lot of confidence we'll be tough enough defensively to beat any of the upper-tier (top 6) Big Ten teams (MSU, NW, OSU, Purdue, Bucky) on the road. Northwestern will light us up from 3-point land if things don't change significantly before we play the Wildcats.

Quite a feat going from a hated, bashed Monson recruit to a leader that the team needs to succeed at the highest level.
