Also Hoff and his 3 point shooting will see good playing time. Bostick on the other hand I just cant find a spot unless he finally decides to play some D. Losing Trevor really hurts but we have a TON of depth and we can handle this. Lets hope this all gets sorted out before big ten season and we can have Trevor for Big Ten play.

IMO, Trevor is a bit overated locally compared to the national media's opinion on him. But the great thing about this machine Tubby Smith has created is that it has the depth to make up for any abscense left by Trevor's void.

Considering the national media of ESPN tabbed him the Big Ten's best newcomer, I'd say they probably have a pretty high opinion of him as well.

Re: Bostick

I'm thinking that w/o Mbakwe: Johnson, Carter and maybe Williams will all see a few more minutes at the 4 spot. That leaves a little opening for Bostick to pick up some minutes at the 2 or 3 position. He may benefit the most in the minutes department.

I'm thinking that while this all is dominating the boards re: Trevor...We just assume that Trevor is benched with 5 fouls for the night, each night, and we go from there.

On the contrary, I think he is more overrated nationally. I mean, Parrish wrote a story about him that's on the front page of sportsline's college basketball page.

Williams will not play the 4 post. That's exactly what they are going to avoid!

I also think this means we'll see a little more of Colt45 and RSIII on the court together with Ralph playing the PF.

In any other year, I would be more concerned with losing a guy like Trevor from the equation. This year, we have plenty of depth to make up for the loss. We'll have Colt play more 4 along with Royce if we need to be more physical from a positional adaptation basis. As for how it stacks up in terms of playing time, we'll be rotating five forwards all over the place depending upon what we need. Probably a fair amount of rotation between Johnson, White, Carter, Williams and Iverson.

Losing Mbakwe is a bummer, but we have plenty of depth to compensate.

Trevor would have added a great physical dimension, but let's remember, everyone was REALLY excited about our recruiting class and the 2009-10 season in general before Trevor even signed. Besides, from what I understand, Trevor has a chance to play in the Big 10 games too. Can anyone one here expand on that?
