al's appeal was denied. joseph needs to play better d and cobbs needs to stop freaking out and just relax.

All's quiet on the twitter and or any other front for news regarding Nolen.

Miles is just trying to scoop the people who really know what is going on. No source, no link, just an unsubtantiated opinion.

not an opinion. i can't link a personal conversation. i prob wouldnt believe me either without a link. i wish i was wrong.

Oh, good, another "I heard from an inside but very reliable source....."

I'm not saying he's right, but why make comments like that? How do you know he doesn't have a reliable source?

Excellent use of punctuation and capital letters in the heading.

If this is true, it shouldn't surprise anyone. This had "looking for a loophole" written all over it. The NCAA can't start overriding poor grades and reinstate athletes' eligibility (staying eligible is a very minimum proposition to begin with) simply because of a death in the family or other family crisis. Harsh, but a reality.

I agree with the NCAA on this one. Bottom line is if the family situation was dire and demanded the athlete's attention, then how did he/she have the time to play basketball but not study sufficiently?

Pretty much this. It's very unlikely he wins this. I guess this happened with a Purdue player (Chris Booker) a little while back where he missed finals due to a family death and despite appeals that Purdue was confident he'd win, he was never reinstated.

That's probably true. Even if this did happen right around Finals, I would have then expected him to at least miss the SDSU game that occured right after. He'd have a better case if he'd missed any playing time at all. I had a grandparent die on the first day of finals. I had to get all sorts of extensions/shifting of when I took them, but I still had them all done within a week. If this was something that could easily be resolved it would have been long ago.

Pretty funny! The true meaning of the way the title was stated is: No appeal that Nolen submits will be denied.

Schlic...there was absolutely no justification nor support for his OP. That is why I know he has no reliable source. Period.

dr. don, how about you put your money where your mouth is. since the odds are 50/50 that I'm right, I'll give you 5-to-1 and bet $20 that his appeal was denied. that way if I am right I get $20 and if I am wrong you get $100. we can work through gh to handle the transfer of money. I'm willing to do it. are you?

Miles...I do not put money on unsubstaniated opinions. If you come here to make a claim, all I ask is give us proof. I have a lot of opinions on alot of things, but when it comes time to *&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!# or get off the pot, I give proof before I take a stand. I have no proof you are wrong, but you have given no proof you are right. You made the OP, I have just asked you to prove it.

Haven't we all learned that these rumors are true 90% of the time. Why would MilesTarver make this stuff up?

Glove...give me the stats that show these rumors are true 90% of the time. Either that or it is just another unsubstantiated opinion.

No, all I have asked for is proof of statements.

Thats just a bad bet in general, although the outcome is 50/50 because it either will be denied or accepted the actual bet itself is ludacris. There is a much higher chance of the appeal being denied then granted.

Hence the 5-1 odds he was given, Buttnugget.

Also, is it really Ludacris?

or is it ludicrous? Fail.

Wish the UMPD would have been as diligent in the handling of the Royce White laptop caper.

Okay 75% of the time.

Tubby going to DePaul = false
Tubby going to Maryland = false
Tubby going to Virginia = false
Brewster finalist for Kansas = false

Pick and choose the rumors you want, glove, so can I. :) :)

I'm not normally the spelling police. My spell-check doesn't work with this board, and my natural spelling ability probably peaked in about 6th grade and has gone downhill since given that Word and Outlook always catch mistakes. However, in this case, the headline was so lacking in punctuation you could have taken it to mean the exact opposite of what it did. I wasn't trying to win an argument.

Use Google Chrome, it works on GH and is much faster. From one guy who can't spell to another.
