Not sure if anyone has posted anything about this yet, but I'm curious to hear people's opinions. I was surprised at how much we ran the no huddle on Thursday. My understanding was we practiced it to prepare for other team's no huddle offenses, didn't expect it to be run as much as we did.

I think it was so prevalent because it was effective against TCU in a lot of drives, especially the last scoring drive. I foresee it as a think we use on a case to case basis, if our regular offense works fine, we use it less, but if it seems to give us an edge we use it more. I also see it being used more when we need to score quickly (before halftime, end of game, etc.)

I liked it. I thought it caught TCU off guard the first series and it really felt like we had a good rhythm when we used it.

It will be interesting to see if the elevation at CSU impacts our ability to do that as often as we did this past game.

Go Gophers!!

I liked it, except I can't believe that we used it against TCU. That played into their strengths much more than it plays to ours, and there were times it looked like our D could use a little rest, rather than a 3 and out that lasts about 30 seconds. Somehow our defense held up and never really broke, so I guess the coaches knew what they were doing.

I thought it was effective on a few of the running plays but also helps that Rodney Smith hits the LOS faster than nugget. You could see how effective it was for TCU to run when they were trying to avoid reviews of some of the terrible calls the officials made. I hope we keep it and improve on the execution for a change of tempo.

It will be a lot easier in the Colorado air/elevation than it was in that hut, humid air(with no oxygen) on Thursday night.
