Terrible shooting, no big man presence and really, the team is slow and unathletic compared to most other Big Ten teams we will see (and the Big Ten is nothing compared with the SEC for speed). Ben has one big that resembles a Big Ten big guy and he won't play him (Edmunds).

Ben is a dead man walking right now and while I have been thinking it is low class to let him go mid year, I am beginning to change my mind. The viewpoint that the administration doesn't care about the program at all is growing - as is fan apathy.

Coyle either needs to step up and say why Ben will be our long term coach (which would be insane) or let him go so that we can begin to hope again. The current situation is toxic and I can't see how Ben holds this team together.

I said it previously, in another thread, but watching this team stand flat-footed, timid and passive to the point of sleepwalking for the last 43 game seconds last night spoke volumes about the state of affairs and coaching of this team.

There is no leader on or off the court. They look like a practice squad.

Yep, Garcia, who has been great, is really just out there getting his numbers. Hawkins was the leader last year. Our average team of last year had players that were better by miles and miles from what we have this year. Payne, Christie, Hawkins.... that's what average Big Ten talent looks like.
