NIU knows how to spend part of their 17 million

At the Orange Bowl, NIU hired 25 buses to give free transportation to students. 1000students and they were just a small part of the fans from NIU at the game. My Daughter and Son-in-law (Florida State grad) were at the game and were surprised at the number of NIU fans in the stadium.

Not a bad idea at the big payout games.

IIRC, they pay for their students tickets at least for all their bowl games (or at least, they have the past few years). Didn't know they included the transportation this year as well, that's pretty cool.

150 bucks for students. Included some meals, 2 nights hotel, and bus to and from. Just got back. University offices and officials, athletics, alumni association, and individual donors made it happen.
