Hopefully it works out and is implimented in the next couple of years. Could benefit a pressing team like as as well.

Good! This seems like a long time coming and hopefully this leads to a permanent move for men's college basketball.

It's long overdue.

Go Gophers!!

One other thing I noticed. When there is a foul on the offensive end. The shot clock resets to the full 35. I believe in the NBA it only resets to 14. Just drags the game on and on too.

Awesome. Hopefully becomes permanent.

This is the biggest change that needs to be made in my opinion. I can live with the 35 second shot clock if they make that change.

I never noticed it until this year. Buggs fouled someone with one second left on the shot clock and it reset to 35. I was appalled. Couldn't believe it.

One other change I would like to see made is with 10 second back court calls. If it's been 9 seconds and they haven't crossed half-court, and they call a timeout to save themselves, they shouldn't be given another 10 seconds to get the ball across half court after in-bounding.

Decrease the 10 second rule by a second or two. Make the shot clock 24 seconds. Reset after a foul to 15 seconds.

THAT'S TOO MUCH LIKE THE NBA! NO!

/sarcasm

I agree with you, but that would be an extremely hard sell for a lot of CBB fans. The changes will happen more gradually than that.

In my mind, more like the NBA isn't a good thing...

My point was that if a team calls a timeout to save from a 10 second call resulting in a turnover, they shouldn't get another 10 seconds out of the timeout to get across half court.

I completely agreee with that.

I don't think the college game should be like the NBA. However, I think the college game should adopt some or all othe NBA's clock rules. Things like advancing the ball on a TO and continuation are stupid.

I also think the three point line and paint should mirror the international rules.

Yuck.. Last thing I want to watch is a NBA game with no defense. I have not watch a game in years now. We want players chucking up more terrible shots because the clock is running out?

No way on changing 10 second rule.. So we want more whistles to stop game for 10 second violation or causing more bad turnovers because we forced someone to just throw it down court because u had 1 or 2 seconds to get it over half court.

I love college basketball because there are many different ways to play the game. Press or sit back, slow it down or run and gun, zone or man, doubling big or straight up. I hate the nba because everyone plays the same way. And have all the standard lineups. Do I like tubbys style or Nebraska ,no but respect it on how they want to do things. I love seeing a coach start 4 point guards because u want to run and gone. Or Purdue play to 7 footers because they want to slow it down and pound the paint.

Let's not change the game that we love. If u want to change it and make it more free flowing keep calling the chucking cutters and holding of the ball.

I agree, the NBA game is basically un-watchable, this would make the college game very similiar, I guess I would have to turn to high school to get a b-ball fix if this happens.

terrible idea, will reduce the number of upsets, hurt teams that do not stock up on top 100 recruits. Will turn college basketball into an NBA D. league that ADHD fans might find enjoyable

Thank you!

I have no desire to watch a two man game of pick-and-roll basketball. The perennial elite teams will simply be provided an even easier path to championships as they have the ability to quickly isolate their elite players for open looks while other teams (ie the Gophers) have no elite player to go to.

Let's not change the game we love. Very good point.

Taking 5 seconds off the shot clock is going to do all that?

I don't like going all the way down to 24 seconds but 30 is just fine IMO. 35 to 24 would be too much of a change at once.

The more we stay away from NBA rules, the better.

What we need is a Not Interested Tiny shot clock.

I'm fine with re-setting only to 15 on a foul. I'd rather not reduce the shot clock, certainly not to 24.

More possessions is more opportunities to take 4 minutes of my life for a replay

They should get rid of the shot clock so teams like Northwestern can re-implement the 4 corners and win 6-4, right Tiny?

IMO a lot of things people say they love about college compared to the NBA comes more from less talented players than it does the rules.

Crap, just another adjustment for our team to make.

35 seconds is a good compromise between the purists and the folks who are wanting entertainment value. 35 seconds allows the teams with less athleticism the time to work an offensive set that allows for an open look, while allowing the teams with exceptional athleticism the opportunity to get the ball back while being less than stellar defensively. I like the game as it is.

I agree with Tiny; no issue with going from 35 to 30 plus the reset rule on foul to 15 seconds is fine but I like the game other than that

30 or 35 second shot clock is perfectly fine. It allows team to actually run an offense and it prevents teams from stalling for an entire game. As previously mentioned the biggest adjustment that needs to be made is not resetting the clock on every foul.

I like 30 second, with resets to 20 on fouls and kicked balls.

Just take off the backcourt 10 seconds for the reset.

Use the women's rules? 30 seconds shot clock but no 10-count in the backcourt.

We need to do something, anything, so games of 161-2 Or 2-0 happen more often.

Well to do that you just eliminate the shot clock and reward made field goals with the ball again. You make it you take it.
