It just looks so weird seeing Kentucky listed in this bracket. I'm not complaining by any means, just looks odd.

Was surprised at first that Purdue wasn't in it but then remembered they finished below .500. Purdue will play in the CBI facing Jim Molinari's Western Ill. in the first round. I didn't know the CBI does a best of 3 series for the championship. Interesting.

Purdue becomes the first ever B1G team to go to the CBI, Texas also in it.

Iowa is seeded the same as the Denver Pioneers. Score one for the WCHA:)

I think Iowa wins it. They looked really good down the stretch.

Whining? Seems more like straight answers. If the gophs lose friday we can all report here for some real whining.

Doc...If the Gophers lose Friday...Gopherhole will blow up with negativity. Site may just crash....best to stay away from it.

I disagree, parski. The GH admin will be on duty, in force, in overtime mode to monitor all of the insane drunken comments.

In fact, Admin will be in overdrive mode just monitoring the In Game Thread.

Thank you very much appreciate this...

It'll be good for Purdue. They're young and are playing very well right now.

Actually this isn't a good thing for them, its an embarrassment for Purdue. I would expect this from Northwestern or Nebraska but for someone like Purdue its a slap in the face. In addition, its going to cost them money to play on their home court and the further they get the more it cost. Why even do this for a school with a small athletic budget? Purdue should have declined the invite and watch the Purdue baseball or Purdue women's basketball teams moving forward. They need to suffer as some others pointed out in the comments on the link. Purdue had several chances this year and blew it to EMU, Villinova and so forth. Maybe next year Trainwrecks...

Watching Kentucky lose at Robert Morris but am just wondering why the #1 seed Kentucky is playing on the road at the #8 seed Robert Morris, shouldnt it be the other way around??

You would think so, but Kentucky was closed due to lack of interest.

Rupp Arena is being used for the NCAA tournament. That's why they're on the road.

this. their arena was unavailable apparently. would love to see Robert Morris pull this off against UK.

I disagree.
1. The embarrassment has already occurred when they went 6-6 in the first 12 non conference games.
2. They had 8 players average 10 or more minutes a game this year. 6 of the 8 are underclassmen, 4 of which are freshman. Playing as many games as they can will help them next year and down the road when they are so young.
3. Not sure how much they will lose from this but I can't imagine it will be much.
