What a strange story that whole thing has been. I just can't see Saban leaving a great gig in Alabama for another college job but I guess it wouldn't be the first time a coach has made a move that made no sense to anyone on the outside looking in. I could see him wanting to try his hand in the NFL again but seems crazy to think he would go to another college.
Austin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>. Tuscaloosa
Or, you know, the guy is buying another home. I'm sure he can afford it.
Do you think Saban is ONLY considering Texas because its a foregone conclusion the Minnesota job just won't be open for him this year?
There were rumors a couple of years ago that Saban's wife hates Alabama, If true he could make the move partly to please his wife and partly the challenge of being the only coach to win National Championships at three schools.
Just had an ESPN alert on my phone saying that in regards to the Texas coaching situation Saban said: "I'm totally committed to the University of Alabama" which in Nick Saban speak means he has already agreed to a contract with Texas and will be coaching the Longhorns next season.
The State of Texas would go crazy. Alabama stole The Bear from T A&M. This would be like sweet revenge. For everyone except A&M fans, of course. The Alumni Assoc could make two or three phone calls and in 24 hours offer him a radio show following each game paying $10 million/year.
He wouldn't even gave to get his chili hot!
This is such B.S. The facts are that the Texas job is not open but the NDSU job IS.
Do the math.
Yeah, but I think Bohl's shoes are too big to fill. If Saban doesn't like the pressure in Tuscaloosa, do you think he wants that pressure cooker in Fargo?
