great win...we definitely have some talent on the team...I think we could get 7-8 wins next year...with all the returning players...and the "X" teams we play are weaker which will help...thoughts?

I would say there is 7-8 "winnable" games. How many we actually win is the question.

Hinges on Gray. If he's the QB and can make it work, they go to a decent bowl. If not, all bets are off. OL is the key. Eskridge isn't Maroney, but he's a serviceable Big Ten back. Really looking forward to watching Tinsley, Beal, Rallis and Cooper (whether it's at safety or LB).

Not too far-fetched. Will definitely say it was very encouraging to see how this team committed to finishing the year after such a difficult season.

Certainly helps BIG TIME to have Michigan back on the schedule and Ohio State/Penn State off of it. I know Michigan isn't a cakewalk, and certainly a decent team, but I like our chances a lot better against Mich than I do OSU/PSU

After the close of the 2009 season, iowa and iowa fans thought...

that they would be a "top ten" team for sure and that it might be possible that they might be a very high ranking BCS Team. How did that estimation of the 2010 Football season work out for iowa and the iowa fans? Try 7-5. We don't have to start guessing just how great the 2011 season will be. It looks like a mighty tough schedule to me.

I will wait to see who is named coach. I will watch to see the coordinators names and the position coaches names. I will wish them all well. I will read the names of the new recruits and will hope that the new coaches can really coach football. I'll somehow survive all the "talk" of 9 or 10 wins that the Spring Game will inspire. Somehow, I'll get through the summer. Finally the non-conference games will start happening. And, FINALLY, Big Ten Football will start. Michigan, MSU, Nebraska, iowa, wisky, NU and Illinois and Purdue. I certainly do hope our new coach really can coach if there are expectations out there of 8 wins in 2011.

We will have a new QB, so we have no idea. 6-6 next year would be good, and 7-5 would be great.
