Next Minnesota AD - Peter Najarian?

Maturi will be gone in 7 months, so it's time to discuss who would be the type of AD Minnesota needs. Shama speculates on Najarian, and I've included his bio below:

I like the fact that he was a great Gopher player, bleeds football and maroon and gold, and has some savvy business experience. His TV personality could also make him a good "face" for the program. He would definitely make football a priority.

Despite these pros, he's probably a stretch since he doesn't have any type of previous experience inside an athletics department. I know we're going to conduct a "nationwide" search, but I think the benefits of getting a former U of M alum are huge.

Suspect he would have to take a significant cut in pay to take the AD job. However, he is an intriguing possibility.

I agree he does seem like a very interesting candidate and maybe we need to go outside the AD will help us get out of this funk the department has been in
