New roster and headshots up on GopherSports

Thanks. I've been waiting on that one. Always interesting to see.

A few notes:

Alipate, Amaefula, Anyanwu, Ayinde. The only four players whose last names start with "A" are a tongue-twister! Moses is now #86.

#51 remains unassigned.

Berkley Edwards and Lamonte Edwards are both #32.

Hart, Harte, Hartman, and Hartmann. Sid will still mess up their names.

KJ Maye now #1, Cedric Thompson #2.

With as cool a name as Rayfield Dixon, he'd rather go by Ray Dixon.

5 Punters and 5 Kickers on the roster. We better find one of each.

Campion is the heaviest Gopher at 326 lbs. Wozniak and Pirsig the tallest at 6'9". 29 players are listed at 6'-5" or taller.

Andre McDonald isn't on the roster, he is suppose to get things sorted out and be back for fall camp but it would have been nice to see him on the roster now

Some tidbits from looking over the roster. . .

Devon Wright is officially a WR.

Cedric Thompson jumped weight from 199 to 211.
Plsek bulked up from 245 to 265.
Phil Nelson is down 7 lbs.

Bauducco still on the roster. I'm sure this is a mistake as I thought he quit football because of serious medical issues (back I believe). He wasn't on the roster last year and he is back on the roster this year.

Lots of Walk-Ons. There are bunch of them that are FR and a few transfer kids that weren't on the roster last year (Marmer, Ndondo-Lay)

Thanks, that is fun to get a glimpse of the players. Freshman Chad Fahning looks to be about 29 years old.

I see Jimmy Gjere is still listed too. Also, I'm not sure if Ernie Heifort's hair is still like his picture. That is straight out of 1992, but then again, I see more haircuts like that when I travel to northern Minnesota.

I believe they keep Gjere and Cosgrove on the roster because they're honoring their scholarships as they both have football ending
health problems that are beyond their control. I haven't a clue about Bauducco... though I was really looking forward to this kid
being apart of this team. I was unaware of a football ending injury, I thought he went back home because of 'family issues', clearly
I was mistaken..

I don't think Cosgrove was ever a scholarship guy. I think with Jimmy Gjere (and Brooks Michel before him), the "U" was able to keep him on scholarship, but he no longer counts against Football's max number of 85 kids on scholarship.

Quinn Baducco "retired" from Gopher football due to a back injury per a RyanBurnsGI tweet that was discussed here: http://www.forums.gopherhole.com/boards/showthread.php?40036-Quinn-Bauducco-Retiring

I hadn't noticed the pronunciation guide before lol.
