Pitino breaks down each BT game, per his blog:

@ Michigan State

Good: We played with great poise, confidence, and fearlessness. Every timeout our guys believed we would win the game. We executed in the first half offensively extremely well.

Bad: There was a lot! I counted 50 mistakes that we made throughout the game. Defensively we didn't execute our pick and roll coverage. Offensively we got away from throwing the ball inside. These mistakes will catch up to you against an opponent like Michigan State.

Overall: Much like Purdue we showed flashes of greatness, but we also made costly mistakes at the end of the game. We have to establish our inside attack again.

Go Gophers!!

Did we see these videos and blogs in previous years of Gopher basketball? Awesome insight into the direction of the program.

No, the blog was Pitino's idea and the videos started as a continuation of the Brick by Brick videos that the football team started this year.

I didn't think the Gophers showed much poise for much of the second half against Michigan State. They did execute very well down the stretch to force OT and then things got away from them again. The games against the Michigan teams are so tough to stomach right now. Win just one of those and the Gophers are tied for 2nd in the conference and probably ranked in the top 25 right now.

It will be interesting to see how the Gophers establish the inside attack that Pitino wants. Elliott is not really not effective on the post as a scorer, but he can distribute from that position. Mo can score on occasion in the post, but he's also a turnover/blocked shot waiting to happen. It would be nice if Austin/Andre could follow Mathieu's lead and get in the paint more often to create opportunities for themselves or the big man in the game.

Not sure what Pitino means, but from my perspective the ball just has to get inside. Whether it is a post up, dribble Drive, whatever. There has to be at least one occupancies of getting the ball inside every possession. Not necessarily to score, but to at least make the defense work.

Dre Hollins gets to the line more than anyone on the team and it's not even close.
