Karlie Hauer, a 5-10 high-flying junior outside hitter who previously committed to North Dakota, has switched her commitment and will now play for new Coach McCutcheon and the Golden Gophers in 2012. Hauer plays HS for Andover in Minnesota and club for MN Select 171.

I saw Laura Bush and Alfee Reft at the Northern Lights Qualifier this past weekend - perhaps sealing the deal. Lots of good volleyball there in all age groups (12s, 13s, 16s, 17s, and 18s).

I believe a tall outside hitter from Milwaukee has also committed to the Gophers, so that makes two that should sign next fall. I think there will be four spots available.
