Johnson said it was disrespectful. I agree. He was the only player in the top three in the Big Ten in steals and blocks.

Even though, after the Michigan game, I thought it would be a bit of a relief to not watch the Gophers self destruct any further, I really, really, need to find an internet feed for the Big Ten Network tomorrow.

If anyone has ideas I sure could use them.
 

Kramer is overrated.

DJ averages more steals and blocks than him per game. Not to mention his huge height and length advantage actually let him guard almost every position.

Blocks and steals don't tell the whole story for defense.

DJ deserved to be on the All-defense team, but Kramer deserved the awards he received.
 

Kramer is overrated. Just cause he gets smacked in his nose every freaking game doesn't make him some sort of defense superstar like he's being portrayed.

I don't expect anybody to agree with me about Kramer, because he's the kind of guy that you love if he's on your team and hate if he's on the other team.

I think the coaches do a very good job of picking the all-conference players. They might miss a few things each year, but all eleven coaches voted for Kramer for the all-defense team. Like it or not, he's good at what he does. You don't win two DPOYs and make the all-defense team all four years of your career for no reason.

Is this a serious statement? Kramer is one of the best defensive players in the country and rarely has an off night. Damian Johnson deserves credit for his achievements but Kramer, throughout his career, has proven he is far from overrated.
 



rcpratt and mnboiler, do you guys comment on here just to defend Purdue? I just don't understand why you guys seem to feel obligated to defend your team all the time on another team's board.

Agreed, I don't see anyone from this board running over to Black & Gold to defend any Gopher players?

For some reason, we seem Gopherhole seems to attract other team's posters quite a bit.

I comment here about a lot of things. A fair bit of them are about Purdue, because that's what I'm most knowledgeable about. Is this an issue? I'm not defending anything, but a Purdue player was mentioned and I wanted to discuss it. And by the way, I think DJ should have been on the all-defense team instead of several players, including JJ.


edit: Apparently more people have an issue with this than I realized. Most boards I've seen mostly enjoy other teams' fans opinions as long as they're not annoying. I guess I'll spend my time elsewhere.

Like I said, apparently I misunderstood the perception around here. Kramer was brought up, I discussed it. This is how things go on message boards. I wasn't rude or ridiculous.

I'm not rcpratt on twitter. And yes, it is pretty amazing that there is more than one person in the world with the last name Pratt and the initials RC. And that they would use such a common string of their name for a username. Welcome to the interwebs.

Not Randy, either. Not many more names that start with R, though.

I lived in Minnesota for a few years. Don't follow any of the pro teams but I did get a bit attached to the Gophers. Next time I'll try to spell out my life story with my username.

I have lived in the Twin Cities my entire life, with the exception of my college years at Purdue. I grew up a Gopher fan and my family still has hockey and football season tickets. My wife is a U of M Alum and I'm friends with a handful of other Gopher fans who post on this board.

Is that enough credentials to post here?
