On offense, Gophers 53rd, much better than last year; on defense, 95th, much worse than last year. In Big Ten, last in scoring D, rushing D, pass defense efficiency, and opponents' third down conversions - and 10th overall in total defense. Kicking game way down from last year; Weber eighth in conference in pass efficiency.

We've become the Big 10 football version of Duke, utterly irrelevant.

Those bigger, faster more athletic players on defense aren't quite as good as the other guys they replaced.

When most of our yards and points come on garbage touchdown drives, I'm not going to be too thrilled about those stats.
Thanks for sharing them, though! :)

Offense much better than last year when it was 111th or so - lame, I know, but it's all we've got.

We aren't Duke. Duke hasn't had a winning season since 1994. We last had a winning season in 2008. Duke hasn't just had a stretch of losing seasons, they haven't even been close to a winning season for most of that time. Since 1994, they have gone winless 4 times. They have won two games or less 9 times. The Gophers aren't in good shape, but we can be thankful that we are NOT Duke.
